Aylesbury MP David LIdington was delighted to have the opportunity to visit the Aylesbury Canal Society to mark the opening of the Circus Field Basin and the 200th Anniversary of the Aylesbury Arm.

Central & Walton District & Town Councillor Mrs Barbara Russel has been elected as Deputy Mayor of Aylesbury, the first time a Conservative Councillor will have held the role.

Camborne Avenue Crossing Petition

Bedgrove Conservative Councillors Mark Winn, Tom Hunter-Watts and Brian Roberts joined with Aylesbury MP David Lidington last Saturday to collect signatures from local residents for their petition calling for pelican crossing between Camborne Avenue and Jansel Square. 

Aylesbury Awarded Purple Flag

Aylesbury has retained its Purple Flag award. This award has been handed out to only 54 towns adn cities across the UK and Ireland by the Association of Town & City Managment and recognises a safe town centre. 

Hampden Fields - Planning Permission Refused

Today it was announced that the Government Planning Inspector & Secretary of State Eric Pickles would uphold Aylesbury Vale District Council's decision to refuse planning permission for 3,000 homes at Hampden Fields (between Bedgrove & Weston Turville).
