Over £45,000 has been secured from the Forestry Commission to create and maintain a new woodland in Saunderton, with 4,500 trees to be planted as part of the Bucks Tree Mission. This is alongside further tree planting planned across other parts of the county.
Combined with more than 100 hectares of habitat banks and the creation of our seventh habitat bank, Buckinghamshire Council are delivering Biodiversity Net Gain for at least the next 30 years while helping to protect and enhance Buckinghamshire's natural environment.
These projects are part of our long-term commitment to balancing sustainable growth with nature recovery, supporting local biodiversity, and creating a greener, more resilient Buckinghamshire for future generations.
To support our aspiration, anyone with land potentially suitable for tree planting is encouraged to complete a short, multiple-choice questionnaire click here for the link.
