Buckinghamshire Conservatives enjoyed a fantastic day at the Bucks County Show, welcoming residents and visitors from across the area to our stand.
Despite the weather giving us a bit of everything throughout the day, there was a great atmosphere and a steady stream of people stopped by to say hello, meet local councillors and volunteers, and talk about the issues that matter to them.
Housing and the future development of Buckinghamshire was unsurprisingly one of the big topics of conversation. Visitors were invited to take part in our informal straw poll on housing numbers, and the verdict was unanimous: everyone who took part thought the housing figures being proposed by Labour and the Liberal Democrats were too high.
With Labour's housing targets putting significant pressure on Buckinghamshire, we will continue making the case that any new development must be accompanied by the roads, schools, GP capacity, transport and other infrastructure our communities need.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came over to our stand, whether you took part in the poll, stopped for a chat or simply came to say hello. It was great to meet so many of you. And a huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped throughout the day, whatever the weather decided to throw at us!
