Domestic abuse remains a serious issue across the UK, with cases continuing to affect communities in Buckinghamshire. Buckinghamshire Council is committed to tackling and preventing abuse and has launched the fourth edition of its fully funded multi-agency training catalogue for 2025/26.
This year’s programme introduces eight new topics shaped by local insight, including stalking and cyber stalking, post-separation abuse, mental health and suicide prevention, and understanding risk. The training is designed for anyone wishing to improve their awareness, not just professionals, and aims to give people the skills to recognise signs of abuse and provide effective support.
Sessions are free of charge and available as short virtual “power hours” or longer courses, ensuring flexibility and accessibility. To date, more than 1,850 attendances have been recorded, reflecting growing local commitment to safeguarding.
