David Lidington Reiterates his opposition to this route

David Lidington continues to work hard to oppose this route. He was the first MP to speak out against the route in Parliament when the Labour Government announced the plans, and since then has met with action groups, conservation groups, ministers and other MPs to make sure the decision makers know of the strength of feeling of local people against these proposals.
He has recently met Rail Minister Theresa Villiers to explain to her the strength of local opposition to HS2 and to put to her some of the detailed criticisms of the scheme made by local campaigners. If you would like to sign up to receive email updates from David on this issue, please go to the contact us section.
