HS2 Hybrid Bill Vote

Following the vote on the HS2 Hybrid Bill David Lidington has sent the below letter to local residents who have contacted him previously about HS2 and to those who may be affected by the Scheme.

This Budget is part of our long-term economic plan to give economic security to the families of Britain. The single biggest risk would be to abandon the plan and listen to Labour’s calls to borrow more, spend more and put up taxes. That would put families’ economic security at risk. 

Flooding in Aylesbury

Following the recent flooding in the Willows area of Aylesbury local MP David Lidington has spoken to residents affected by the floods and has written a letter to the Secretary of State for Transport. David has asked the Secretary of State on behalf of his constituents whether the construction and operation of HS2 will add to the flood risk on the Willows estate.

HS2 Consultation Deadline Extended
