Thank you to those members who came to our Annual General Meeting on Friday evening which was well attended. David spoke passionately about his roles over the past year and some of the challenges we face in the coming year.
Local government in Buckinghamshire faces its biggest shake-up for decades following the decision by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid to abolish the current County and District Councils in favour of a single, unitary council for the whole of Bucks.
It is with a heavy heart that Councillor Edward Sims has announced that he is standing down from Aylesbury Town Council and Aylesbury Vale District Council. Edward has been active in Aylesbury politics since 2012, and was first elected to both Councils in 2015.
David welcomed news from Highways England that noise barriers will start to be installed on 3 January 2018 at a number of locations between Wooburn and Stokenchurch. Allowing for the weather all works should be completed by the end of April 2018.
Edward and Barbara are very happy to see that after many years of lobbying Bucks County Council, a permanent bollard and No Entry sign have at last been installed at the end of George Street/Temple Square.
