Volunteers, community groups and local organisations from across Buckinghamshire have been recognised at this year's Proud of Bucks Awards, celebrating those who go above and beyond to support their communities.
Held during National Volunteers' Week and sponsored by The Clare Foundation, the annual awards recognise the individuals and organisations whose dedication, compassion and hard work help make Buckinghamshire a stronger and more connected place to live.
The 2026 awards ceremony took place on Monday 1 June and saw winners recognised across a range of categories, highlighting the many different ways people support their local communities. From tackling loneliness and improving wellbeing to protecting the environment and creating opportunities for young people, the awards showcased the very best of Buckinghamshire's community spirit.
This year's winners were:
- Switch Lanes CIC – Newcomer Award
- Oscar Boyson – Young Volunteer of the Year
- Marieke Bosman – Environmental Impact Award
- Amy Scullard – Improving Health and Wellbeing Award
- Slapton Lunch Club (Margaret Newton) – Reducing Social Isolation Award
- Wooburn and Bourne End Parish Council – Town and Parish Council Community Award
- Chalfont St Peter Community Library – Community Connectedness Award
- St Mary's CS School Young Carers Group – School/College Community Contribution Award
- Michelle Robinson-Boyce – Volunteer of the Year Award
- Clare Clarke – Lifetime Achievement Award
Across all categories, the nominations highlighted the incredible contribution made by volunteers and community groups every day. Whether running lunch clubs, supporting vulnerable residents, mentoring young people or leading local environmental projects, their efforts help improve lives and strengthen communities throughout Buckinghamshire.
