Aylesbury MP Rob Butler's Response to 2023 Budget

Rob Butler Budget

Today the Chancellor has announced a Budget for Growth. It’s only with a strong economy that we can have the strong public services that we all want.

Changes to childcare will help working parents, which many local residents have asked for. I’m also particularly pleased with the reforms to pensions, which will have a real impact on hospital waiting lists by encouraging more doctors to stay in the NHS.

As the economy gets stronger, I hope we’ll be able to see more tax cuts to help working families, the self-employed and small businesses. This is how we can truly boost prosperity and deliver for the whole of the United Kingdom.
