Although the Buckinghamshire Council ward also includes Berryfields, Buckingham Park and Watermead are the two parishes within the Aylesbury constituency. Sitting at the gateway between Aylesbury and the open countryside, both have their own distinct character, strong sense of community and their own parish councils.
Watermead is centred around its beautiful lake, lively piazza and distinctive colourful houses, creating a unique setting just outside the centre of Aylesbury. Nearby Buckingham Park is a newer community which has grown considerably in the last few decades, with its own primary school, community centre, local shops and green spaces providing a focal point for residents.
With significantly more housing being required by central government, the decisions made about Aylesbury's future growth could have a direct impact on both Buckingham Park and Watermead. The Aylesbury Conservative team will continue to stand up for these communities, making the case for the infrastructure and local services that must accompany new development while protecting the character of the area and the countryside on its doorstep.
